While Easter is a holy time that I'm quite aware of, the horror writer in me sought something more, wondering whether or not there were any Easter horror tales. After a substantial search, it was apparent that this was, and understandably so, a limited market. After all, a man dying on a cross is scary enough right? Nonetheless, I wrote my own Easter tale. Published in the April 2011 edition of Suspense Magazine, this piece is anthological, with three tales surrounding a central story. it's called The Horrors of Easter and may have you reconsidering eating those spongy yellow peeps, or chocolate for that matter.
Enjoy, Happy Easter and Stay Scared,
“Scary Easter Tales!” George spoke curiously out loud. “I’ve never heard of any of those,” he added.
“Me neither,” Jimmy tossed his two cents in.
“Yeah,” Mike added. “Me neither. See what I mean about reading?” He smiled to himself. Partly because he was past and through the vines, but mostly because he knew he was right.
